hi everyone this is Chappelle's LSC electric Forum my name is Kenji I'm the assistant principal here as well as the election coordinator as before we begin for up I'd like to go over a few housekeeping rules that you seen timing and we want candidates for each have 2 minutes to get our presentation I have a timer that I'll be using on my end to get a candidates for 10 seconds uh candidates may literature and support of their candidacy if you brought anything yeah this may not debate each other and presentation will be determined by Lottery starting with parents first community members teachers and then non teaching staff we have stone here who's going to help us draw names for our parents to close his eyes he was going to shuffle it up this Kelly's workers and an app's going to go next all right we're going to get started here ready hi my name is Elizabeth Kelly and I'm running for a parent rep for Chelsea um I have a fifth grader in kindergarten Ranch Chapel right now and we transferred in with my fifth grader was in third grade um I've been on the galaxies and last August in 2025 when I was appointed to fill a vacant parent rep spot um that was there um and it has been a really informative meaningful experience being on the L so far um really learn how the school works and how much hard work from so many people go into providing our kids all of our kids well-rounded education and it's been an amazing experience so it is priority for me to continue the school and the Chicago Community by being on the LSC um in terms of my background um if this is important for you uh I have degrees in my chemistry and leftover biology and in nursing with a focus in delivery and and for the last 20 years I looked at various Healthcare settings um as a nurse the Midway Plantation can tell me and also as a nurse educator at the University level um I'm always happy to answer any questions or listen to any concerns that we have and thank you for your time all right thank you very much all right we have had a couple of the next hi everyone I'm out running for a spot on the local school council I was I had a school in Michigan when I took AP governments Witnesses Deborah snow and so part of why I'm running is because this snow taught me that it's important to vote and to participate in your democracy so I see this as a very local way to participate in our community and our democracy I've learned a lot over the last 4 years being on the local school council I think that public schools are a public good so I want to do this event just for my to children who are in the great first grade but for the students at so and I appreciate people's interest and engagement and I look forward to continuing to work together with the community Through the the whole school thanks all right okay there are no more parents here so at this time are there any teachers are there any teachers here there are no changes here that Sarah Marty if I could have you please put your name on the posted note Stone we're back up with this you're going to give us a nice Swish and swirl and you're going to look away your cases with the camera here give it a look away look away he's got 1 all right Mr Marty will go first Miss Allen will go second as seeing as there are only 2 927 you ready yeah I am already thinking and I'm part of my teaching staff I'm a secret here at Chicago I work with special to see if it was and I've been on the board for the last 2 years and informative but I think I continue in such a way that I could be as I feel like uh the last 2 years I've you that pretty well um I got a 40 year background outside of teaching and um there's a lot of information that I use from there that and also um I said on the board for Ministry for about 25 years now and again this is help with uh you know fundraising and different things go I love the school I love the students I'm just here to make sure that we continue being a successful organization that we have plan you have Sarah Allen up next hi my name is Sarah Allen I'm running for a staff position on the LSC I am also a Seeker here so that stands for special education classroom assistant I've been here at Chapel for about 3 years now and I'm also towards teaching licensure and special education um aside from education I have prior experience professionally as an advocate as well as a community organizer this is something I'm familiar with both in a capacity and just being an activist in the community um I am running for LSD as both a Community member and educator and a staff member and someone who wants to see to help thrive I have in my 3 years here at your pal tried to invest in our community I have been a leader of student voice committee for 2 years prior to this where I have had the opportunity to plan Community Based events so food drives coat drives field trips to boot Banks um I'm also currently in charge of our out of school committee true colors to give our lgbtq plus students and allies uh safe community space so I loved my time here at Chappelle and I have a lot more to give I don't need to support the community in new ways it consistently worked to create safe spaces both here and off campus for a diverse student population um I have door to give and I'm to be able to do that through a spot on the LSC thank you for your time all right uh before we go there are no more candidates here I wanted to go over LSC election day that is going to be on March 18th the school year all schools conduct LLC election for parent and Community candidates and these School staff candidate preference pool day March 18th that we will have on either the 16th and 20th of March all schools conducts and finding student collections for students we're on a different timeline with our students we uh there wasn't only came in so we elected 1 I was sort of late in the year and so all year until that day okay so the student will student lecture can be posted to later because we have some of the time all right thank thank you very much for coming out to this year's forum so
